Disaster Recovery Plan

Training (DRP)

Prepare for the rapid restoration of your critical systems

Why take this training course?

An effective Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) enables you to restore your critical IT systems after a major failure, cyberattack or external disaster.

This training course, aligned with the Ransom-Kick method, teaches you how to transform your business requirements into realistic technical scenarios, in direct collaboration with your IT teams and infrastructures.

Part of the Arkeion Group ecosystem, it complements the BIA and BCP approaches and prepares for consistency with crisis management (CRP).

Training programme

The training programme consists of three stages:

  1. Analysis: translating business priorities from the BIA and BCP into IT recovery objectives (RTO/RPO).
  2. Design: defining the necessary backup architectures, resources and procedures.
  3. Formalisation: documenting and testing the DRP through exercises and technical simulations.

Typical duration: 3 days in person or 6 half-days remotely.

Syllabus

  • Introduction to the role of the DRP in the resilience chain
  • Translating business needs into IT recovery objectives
  • Defining backup architectures and technical dependencies
  • Organising recovery teams and assigning roles
  • Drafting step-by-step recovery procedures
  • Testing, proving and continuously improving the DRP

Target audience

This training course is intended for:

  • IT infrastructure and production managers,
  • Cybersecurity and systems teams,
  • Continuity managers wishing to align business and IT,
  • Managers in charge of crisis management and recovery coordination.

Training content

  • Technical and methodological teaching materials,
  • Case studies based on real incidents (ransomware, data centre loss, network failure),
  • Workshops to design an IT recovery plan aligned with business constraints,
  • Simulation exercises to test the robustness of procedures.

Expected results

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Define a recovery plan consistent with business priorities,
  • Document and structure technical recovery procedures,
  • Coordinate IT teams during a disaster,
  • Organise and run recovery tests as proof of resilience.

Certification and tools

🎓 An Arkeion Training certificate is issued to each participant.

🏅 Organisations can enhance their credibility by obtaining certification from Arkeion Certification, which recognises the maturity of their disaster recovery system.

⚙️ The Arkeionis AI agent can be mobilised during the training to generate technical procedures, track document versions and capitalise on feedback.

👉 With this DRP training, your teams will move from improvised reactions to a planned, tested and controlled recovery, ensuring your ability to restore your critical systems in record time.
